Anambra Community Gets N140 M Empowerment As Ex - Council Boss Celebrates Crime Free Xmas . NKIRU NWAGBO. The people of Onne Community in Orumba South local government area of Anambra state yesterday got empowered by gifts to the tune of N140 million from the Ezeakunne Foundation. This is coming as the former local government area of Orumba South local government area Prince Nevill Sunday Uchendu celebrated a crime free Christmas celebration in the area this year . A break down of the gift items include a Mercedes 911 tipper at the cost of N28 million given to a son of the community for business as well as four shuttle buses at the cost of N36 million and bags of rice and cash offers bringing the total sum to N140 million.   Soludo threatens to arrest anyone parading as Igwe Oba, says election was cancelled  NKIRU NWAGBO, AWKA. Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has cancelled an election purportedly held by Oba community in Idemili South Local Government Area to elect a traditional ruler and order for an arrest of anyone parading himself as Igwe. The purported election was said to have held on Saturday, in violation of a matter that is still being determined by a court of competent jurisdiction, which was instituted by some interested person in the matter.. (Awka) Chief Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the son of the late Biafra warlord, has called on the federal government of Nigeria to  release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra – IPOB.   Anambra: Soludo Determined To  Complete 621km road projects, Gets Second Term Endorsement By Nkiru Nwagbo Awka. Anambra  state Commissioner for Works, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma has disclosed that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) led government had awarded a total of 621. 649 kilometers of roads out of which 316 kilometers have been completed while others are at various stages of being completed. In an interview with journalists during a three-day media tour of projects sites executed by the governor, Engr  Okoma said Soludo’s 50 years vision for  development of Anambra aims at building a livable and prosperous home land, and to move the state from a departure lounge to a destination centre.
