Anambra state Commissioner for Youth Development Hon Patrick Aghamba who was kidnapped alongside with the wife on Friday last week  has regained freedom after spending one day in the custody of their abductors.

It would be recalled that the couple and their Aide  were attacked on their way to Abuja to attend the wedding reception of the first daughter to Gov Charles Soludo of Anambra state.

Unfortunately the aide ABK Offiah was shot dead by the gunmen on that fateful day while the couple were taken away to an unknown destination.

While  confirming this development the Press Secretary to Soludo , Mr Christian Aburime noted that no ransom was paid to secure their release insisting that it was achieved through divinely intervention.

Aburime also said that the couple were in a good state of health and have rejoined their family.

He dismissed insinuations that the kidnap was politically motivated insisting that there is no truth in the report.
