SERVICE TO HUMANITY:

ANAMBRA CHAPTER OF POLICE OFFICERS WIVES ASSOCIATION ( POWA) HAS  DONATED ITEMS WORTH OVER N400, 000 TO MODEL COMMUNITY CHILDREN HOME IN ANAMBRA STATE ON FRIDAY 15TH JULY, 2022.


ITEMS DONATED INCLUDE: BAGS OF RICE. CARTONS OF NOODLES, CARTONS OF BISCUITS, CARTONS OF BREAD AMONG OTHER THINGS.

A total of 17 Buildings have so far been marked for demolition in Uli Community in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state. Similarly a heavy  deployment of officers and men of the Police and the Army have been made to commence day and night strikes in the four villages that make up the community in order to restore peace and security in the area.   IPOB Suspends Sit At Home. The Indegeous People Of Biafra IPOB yesterday made a change of heart by suspending the proposed Sit At Home Order billed to commence on the fifth of November. Recall that the Director of Publicity for the body had earlier announced that it would commence a Sit At Home strike on the fifth of this month if it's leader Mazi Nnamd Kanu is not released unconditionally on the fourth of November. According to the statement signed by its Director of Publicity Comerade Emma Powerful the body said that it has to call off the Sit At Home Order following the appeal by the elders in the South East coupled with the grave economic implications of the strike on the people. The body urged the people of Anambra state to come out and vote on the 6th of November without any form of intimidation or fears.   Anambra Tribunal Strikes Out Maduka Petition. Four More May Withdraw. As Soludo , Uba Set To Inspect Materials . NKIRU NWAGBO. The Anambra governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Awka today stuck out the petition filed by the candidate of Accord party Dr Godwin Maduka. Similarly there indications that four more petitioners may withdraw their petitions against the victory if the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA following alleged internal challenges that has to do with the discrepancies between the political parties and their respective candidates. Also today the tribunal judges led by it's Chairman Hon Justice D Mohammed granted the Exparte Motions filed by Prof Charles Soludo of APGA and Sen Andy Uba of APCto inspect materials used during the November 6th governorship election in the area. Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and his Enugu State counterpart, Dr Peter Mbah have pledged their solidarity and support to the administration and broad vision of the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Professor Benard Odoh. Both Governors spoke Saturday morning during a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor while attending the 13th edition Annual Zik Lecture Series holding at the Awka main campus of the university.
