Police Rescue Two Robbery Suspects from Angry Mob in Awka Anambra State Police Command has rescued two suspected robbers from being lynched by angry mob in Awka the capital city of the state. It was gathered that the suspects were trying to snatch money from a lady who made withdrawal from Automated Teller Machine (ATM) along zik's Avenue road in Awka. The suspects were reportedly beaten to stupor by the angry mob before police arrived the scene and rescued them. While confirming the incident yeasterday the state Police Public Relations Officer Tochukwu Ikenga DSP, gave the names of the suspects as Stephen Okoye(19) and Chukwumeka Nwudo( 27), adding that a locally-made pistol and live cartridge were recovered from the suspects.
