Umeh Loses Anambra Central APGA Primary Election.
Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA Sen Victor Umeh has lost the Anambra' Central Senatorial District Primary election to a two term member of the Federal House of Representatives Chief Dozie Nwankwo .
Announcing the results the Returning Officer Mrs Elizabeth Nwokocha said Sen Victor Umeh scored 151 votes while Dozie Nwankwo scored 162 votes and Uzuegbuna Okagbue scored 10 votes .
Nwankwo who represents Anaocha Dunukofia Njikoka Federal Constituency for the second term described his victory as a victory for democracy and his party APGA.
I dedicate this victory to God Almighty and to my party APGA and I thank his Excellency Gov Charles Soludo for creating the environment for a peaceful primary election.
I have been in the National Assembly the lower chamber and my achievements speak for me and already my brother Sen Victor Umeh has already congratulated me and I urge him to join me to better Anambra Central Senatorial District.
Dozie Nwankwo would be wrestling the Anambra Central Senatorial District with the the incumbent senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife who he had battled with when he was contesting for Hours of Representatives for the first time under the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria ACN but lost as it were.
