Andy is not a Candidate, Public should disregard Ejidike's call for Cancellation....APC Chieftains
By Nkiru Nwagbo.
Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from 12 local government areas of Anambra state have challenged Sen. Andy Uba and the state chairman of APC Mr. Basil Ejidike, saying that the duo can not change the wishes of Ndi-Anambra.
The leader of the APC chieftains from the 12 council areas in Anambra state and Secretary of the APC in Orumba-North local government area comrade Chukwuemeka Kennedy Nnebe at a news conference in Awka on Monday, stated that Basil Ejidike has no locus standi to challenge the outcome of the governorship election held in the state.
Nnebe who maintained that Andy Uba was not a candidate in the election, stressed that the APC didn’t conduct any primary election and that the state chairman Basil Ejidike was protecting the interest of the supposed candidate of the party against the overall interest of the All Progressives Congress.
According to him” Our attention has been drawn to statements by the chairman of All Progressives Congress in Anambra Mr. Basil Ejidike where he called for the cancellation of the November 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra state.
It has become imperative that we address this issues clearly and to make it clear that Basil Ejidike belong to those that have fought and subverted the good things that should have come to Anambra state and he has no good intentions for Anambra people.
Mr. Basil Ejidike subverted democratic process to become the acting state chairman of APC in Anambra and has no locus standi to challenge the outcome of a physical and transparent election in Anambra state.
Mr. Andy Uba whose interest he is protecting is not a valid candidate in the election because the process that produced him as the candidate of APC was an electoral fraud and undemocratic.
Anambra people have spoken by the results already announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the opposition especially Mr. Basil Ejidike and his cronies can not change the wishes and the mandate of Ndi-Anambra to sustain socioeconomic development in Anambra state.
"We congratulate His Excellency Gov Willie Obiano, the National Leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA for the victory in eighteen local government areas and it has become clear that Anambra electorates have chosen their governor hence the submissions of Basil Ejidike is Inconsequential and does not hold water .
"We urge members of the public to discountenance the statements of Ejidike which is a case of bad loser... Nnebe added.
