UBWA Holds Prayer Session In Awka Over Insecurity, Other Challenges In Nigeria.

Members of the United Business Association of Nigeria and Diaspora held a one day prayer session to seek God’s intervention in the the various challenges facing Nigeria.
The Awka chapter of the Association converged at the Umudioka Town hall in Awka Anambra Anambra State for the event.
The women on their red and black attire knelt before the Lord and pleaded for God’s mercy and healing upon Nigeria.
Speaking during the prayer session, Evangelist Gloria Ezike treated the topic tagged" Who will pray for this Nation" using Bible passage Easter chapter 4 verses 8-14.
She charged the women to imbibe the attitude of prayerful life stressing that prayers said with faith moves mountain.
According to her prayers especially of the mothers can change the ill situation of the country
The Evangelist reminded the women that it was by determination and faith that Easter prayed and broke protocol to save her people in the time of trouble.
Also speaking the prayer warriors coordinator of the association who is also the Awka south local government area Coordinator of UBWA Mrs Ogochukwu Okoye said they seeking God’s intervention on the growing insecurity, killings, kidnapping among others in Nigeria, adding that women are not comfortable with the situation in Nigeria.
In an interview later the founder of the association Mrs Nkiru Duru said that the association decided to wear red and black for the prayer session because of the bloodletting and violence taking place in Nigeria.
She said that the prayer session is also taking place across the country as their members in other state are all praying today over the same issue.
They later carried play cards to walk down the streets in Awka crying for God's mercy upon the Nation.
Some of their play cards which expressed their ill feelings over what is happening in Nigeria read: “Oh God heal our land”. “we want peace”, “don’t make us widows and childless mothers”, “stop killing our children”, “Oh God show us mercy and forgive our sin” UBWA women are crying for your mercy. "Oh Lord help us our land is bleeding" among others.
