4 feared dead two arrested as police police recover 3 vehicle from Gun men in Anambra.

At least four persons were killed by the Anambra state police command while two persons were arrested during exchange of gun fire between the police and members of the unknown gun men on Sunday.
Also three trucks allegedly belonging to the suspected gun men recovered while seven vehicles belonging to the independent National Electoral commission INEC were burnt by the hoodlums.
A total of seven vehicles belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commission IÑEC and electoral materials were burnt Sunday evening when unknown gun men attacked the commissions headquarters in Awka.
But conflicting reports have it that three suspected members of the unknown gun men were killed while one was arrested and is helping the police in its investigations.
However, police
authorities said that no suspects was arrested adding that no member of the gang was killed.
In what looks like a confirmation of the Killing of three suspects were heavy poll of blood in each of the three Vehicles recovered from the gang and a security operative at INEC Headquarters told reporters that three suspects were killed and one arrested but pleaded that he would not want to be qoutes..
The incident which started at about 8. 30 pm Sunday evening took residents of Arroma junction unawares when the gang first stormed the police B Division station burning down the charge room.
The attack on the police station was used as a diversionary plot to attack the INEC office were twenty five power generators and some electoral materials were also set ablaze.
Similarly at Ifite road Awka , eight hostels where students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka were residing were also attacked as suspected armed robbers robbed the students room to room and hostel to hostel at the same time the gun men were operating.
It is not clear if the robbery incident was caused by the unknown gun men but it is being alleged that it was the operation of Cultists in the area.
Briefing reporters at the INEC office the Police Commissioner Mr Christopher Owolabi said that the responds of officers and men of the command was ninety five percent adding that no police man was killed in the gun fire.
Owolabi however did not confirm if any of the unknown gun men was arrested or killed as according to him investigations are ongoing and all the hospitals in Awka capital and it's environs are being monitored to find out if any of the suspects have gone to receive medical attention.
Also speaking the Resident Electoral Commissioner Mr Nkwachukwu Orji told reporters that the burnt electoral materials will not affect the conduct of the November gubernatorial election adding that they would be replaced before the election proper.
